Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at fatheadgarage618@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

  • FS10 - This is a 1996-2004 Mustang GT compressor.  The Motorcraft part number is YCC495.  This compressor costs around $350 and requires the use of a mounting bracket that costs an additional $120.  The complete A/C kit for use with this compressor is $800-$850.  Fitment can be snug depending on K-member and motor mount choice and sway bar mounting.

  • FS20 - This is a 2011-2017 Mustang GT compressor.  The Motorcraft part number is YC2559.  This compressor costs around $375.  There is no bracket needed since it's a stock coyote engine compressor.  The complete A/C kit for use with this compressor is $800-$850.  Fitment can be snug depending on K-member and motor mount choice and sway bar mounting.

  • Sanden SD7B10 - This is a very popular aftermarket compressor that is used on a wide variety of engine setups.  The compressor costs $325 through my website but requires a $210 bracket in order to bolt it up to the coyote engine.  The complete A/C kit for use with this compressor is $670-$720.  This compressor gives you the most space with the smaller compressor body and the orientation of the connections.

  • Pre-1987 - Before 1987, Ford utilized an evaporator with 2 threaded o-ring connections.  https://www.rockauto.com/info/52/54528__ra_m.jpg

  • 1987-1993 - From 1987-1993, Ford utilized an evaporator with 1 threaded o-ring connection and 1 springlock connection.  https://www.rockauto.com/info/52/54531__ra_m.jpg

  • 1994-2004 - From 1994-2004, Ford utilized and evaporator with 2 springlock connections.  They angles of the fittings changed slightly between 1995 and 1996.  But for our purposes, it does not matter.  https://www.rockauto.com/info/52/54171__ra_m.jpg

You have the option between 2 condensers connections.

PLEASE VERIFY BEFORE ORDERING!!!

All of my kits specify what is included in the description for that specific kit, but almost all

of them come with:

  • All 4 lines with orifice tube (compressor to condenser, condenser to evaporator, evaporator to accumulator, and accumulator to compressor)
  • Compressor adapter fittings
  • Low pressure cycle switch
  • Accumulator and mounting clamps (fender mount)
  • Control module with wiring harness and compressor specific connector.  Module allows integration between foxbody HVAC controller and coyote (modular motor) engine control module.  Controller will turn on electric cooling fans with a fan relay ground side switch, disengage compressor over ~80% throttle, and delay reactivation of compressor when throttle goes back under ~80%.
  • Extra springlock springs and sealing o-rings
  • Picture instructions

Yes we can.  I have shipped multiple orders to locations outside the lower 48 U.S. states.  There will most likely be an additional shipping charge (and possibly duty fees depending on your countries import laws).

In Canada for example, it generally costs $10-$30 more to ship a full A/C kit.  Duty fees can be upwards of $150-$200.  If you have the option to ship to northern U.S. and then drive over and pick it up, that is an excellent way to save some money.

I always state to allow 1-2 weeks for your order to ship out.  Each order is custom built to order after you place the order.  If for some reason I run into an issue and I think it will take longer, I will contact you to let you know.

I can cancel an order after it is placed, but there is a 10% restocking fee.

Our kits are used by some very popular install/build shops out there and have been used on some of the most popular cars in the foxbody scene.
